Dr. Hecht-Leavitt is the Medical Director of MRI-CT Diagnostics. He is a neuroradiologist who has practiced radiology in Hampton Roads since 1987. A native of Norfolk, he received his bachelor's degree from Yale University and his medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Hecht-Leavitt completed his radiology residency at Boston University Medical Center and his fellowship in neuroradiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Andres H. Torop, M.D.,
MRI-CT Diagnostics
Director of Musculoskeletal Imaging, specializes in musculoskeletal radiology and sports medicine imaging. After receiving a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania, he received his medical degree at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He then completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Pennsylvania Hospital and his fellowship in musculoskeletal radiology at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
Dr. Daryl R. Fanney, M.D.,

Dr. Fanney is the Director of Body Imaging. He has practiced radiology in Hampton Roads since 1990. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina, received his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and completed his fellowship in abdominal imaging from the Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C.
Dr. Carol J. Ashman, M.D.

Dr. Ashman is subspecialty trained in musculoskeletal imaging and neuroradiology. After attending Georgetown University for an undergraduate degree in biology, she received her M.D. from Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed her fellowship training in musculoskeletal imaging and neuroradiology at Ohio State University Medical Center.

Computerized Mathematical The cornerstone of treatment is the x-ray analysis. It provides a "blueprint" for the procedure. Pinpoint precision (measurements to a fraction of a degree) is required to determine the correct treatment for each patient. The analysis reveals the mathematical data necessary to calibrate the Atlas Orthogonal instrument. The Atlas Orthogonal analysis involves various mathematical instruments and templates that are built into the software. They are maneuvered and superimposed over your images, which are taken from various angles and positions. Once you've had your images taken, you will return for a follow-up appointment at the Liebell Clinic for a comprehensive report of findings. Your neck images with their measurements will be shown and explained to you right on the computer screen.

Digital X-ray Analysis
Thanks to the innovative research and development of many scientists, doctors, programmers and engineers, this sophisticated analysis can now be performed by the doctor using specialized computer software. This is critical because everybody's treatment is different.
Once you have completed you initial new patient consultation and examination you will be referred for to MRI-CT Diagnostics for digital x-rays. Dr. Charles Hecht-Leavitt, Neuroradiologist, is the medical director Hampton Roads' premier medical imaging facility.
Dr. Hecht-Leavitt has some of the finest diagnostic technology available. I have trained his superb x-ray technicians to take the specialized neck images required for my Atlas Orthogonal analysis.
No appointment is necessary to have the images taken. You will be given a referral form, which gives the technicians the specific views requested. Once the x-rays have been taken, they are transmitted through an Internet-based server to my computer. I import them into my software for me to analyze.
